Welcome author Tommie Michele

Tommie Michele Rivituso, a young author from Arizona with a passionate desire to display God through her writing, has embarked with Descendant Publishing to bring her debut novel, Drafted, to the world.

Drafted is a young adult dystopian adventure with a powerful plot that wrestles with deep moral questions and focuses on the transformation of characters as they fight for survival in a tyrannical government system. Reverie and her friends face a variety of challenges in their quest to expose the evil government system that oppresses them—including confronting the lies within themselves:

Reverie Adams is known to most as the Archer: a vigilante out to find—and avenge—her sister, who was taken by the government for a military program known as the Draft. Aside from the members of the program, Rev is the only one who knows the Draft’s secret: contrary to what the public believes, the Draft isn’t just a military operation. A handful of kids like her sister were taken as infants for an unknown purpose, and Rev is on a mission: to find out why, take down the Draft, and get vengeance for her sister.
Rev’s plans are derailed when she unintentionally orphans the children of two important Draft figures: TJ and Riya Collins. TJ, raised by parents who worked with the government and unaware of the true nature of the Draft, finds himself struggling to keep himself and his sister out of the crosshairs of the Archer and the government.
Circumstances force Rev and TJ to work together, and when the leader of the Draft puts a target on TJ’s back and poses a major threat to his life, Rev realizes she cares for him more than she’s willing to admit. Torn between her hunger for revenge and her need to protect the people she cares about, Rev must overcome her vengeful drive and learn to trust in order to get everybody—including herself—out of the Draft alive.
